Cinder Blocks and Succulents
Gotta love succulents! Especially when there is a clever way to hold and arrange them. Cinder blocks cost only about $1.50 USD each. This has to be one of the cheapest and easiest ways to create your own modern succulent planter.
All Materials Used
- 16 double and 5 single cored cinder blocks
- Landscape fabric
- Silicone adhesive
- Cactus soil
- Assorted succulents
The Block Arrangement I Used
I will list each row, from left to right, starting with the bottom row. All blocks are laid parallel to the walls they are against unless specified as “turned”. If it says “turned” then turn those blocks so that they are perpendicular to the surrounding wall. The “*” block is the one that touches the corner/ middle of the arrangement:
Row 1 (bottom)- single, double turned, single, double, double*, double, double
Row 2- double, double turned, double, single*, double, double turned, single
Row 3- double, double turned, double*, double
Row 4- double, double*
Row 5 (top)- single*
